Kicked off our first day in Trinidad with a trip to the St. Benedict Monastery where we had the chance to interact with 6th grade and high school students preparing for final exams. Then the afternoon began our work with the local universities (tertiary schools). Our students collaborated with University of West Indies and their students and administrators to host a dynamic, powerful, and engaging Social Justice Roundtable to connect with current issues impacting college students and worked to highlight solutions and learning opportunities. We also then worked through a group facilitated discussion on improving student service components at both the University of West Indies and the University of Louisville!
