We had an active day today learning cultural and historical aspects of the Indian population of Trinidad by exploring the borough of Chaguanas with our representative Chandar Supersad from The University of the West Indies, visiting the Temple by the Sea, observing local handmade pottery being made, eating local and tasty Roti, Touring the Caroni Bird Sanctuary to observe the Scarlet Ibis (the national bird of Trinidad and Tobago), and engaging with a phenomenal lecture on the historical and cultural history of Trinidad and Tobago from Dr. Rhoda Reddock from The University of the West Indies.
