Ghana 2019 - Cape Coast Castle

We stopped at the Cape Coast Castle this morning on our way from Elmina to Accra. These structures are so paradoxical in the sense that they’re stunning and prominent and beautiful while also possessing such dark histories. Cape Coast was the last piece of the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade history theme we’ve been working through over the last few days.

After battling traffic making our way across the capital, we returned where we started out here in Accra on our first night. It feels good to come full circle on these programs.
