Cultural Exploration throughout Trinidad

As a follow up to last night’s historical culture lecture, we had a cultural exploration throughout Trinidad. We visited the Indian Cultural Museum, then traveled to the Temple By The Sea followed by a trip to a Hindu temple with the largest Hanuman statue (85 ft tall) in the western world outside of India.

We visited the Chaguanas Market where our students sampled a traditional Trinidad Indian lunch of Roti. We capped off the day at the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) where our UofL students and faculty watched and participated in our first cricket match with UTT students while enjoying a local guava snow cone treat!
