Service days 2 and 3 in Belize
Service days 2 and 3 in Belize have come and gone. They were sunny and lively and full of lots of learning and new experiences. Our dental team worked hard from sunrise to sunset each day, treating a total of 138 patients and completing several hundred total procedures.
Our teaching at Independence High School rounded out well, with our students teaching in a total of 9 classrooms over the 3 days. Our students were prepared, resilient, and adaptable, and they leaned a lot about the important work that goes into creating a dynamic curriculum.
In some ways it feels like the ground has moved beneath our feet while we’ve been in Belize over the past 6 days. But we are all feeling grateful to have had this experience, and to have spent another Spring Break learning and paying forward some of the many blessings each of us really have.
