Great day in Tobago!

Very great day with our students today exploring and collaborating in Tobago! We started the day exploring historic sites and forts from the island’s colonization by visiting Fort James and Fort King George where we learned a political history of the Tobago parliament representation. We then had a collaborative visit and set of activities with Tobago Hospitality and Tourism Institute (THTI) which is one of the tertiary institutions providing higher education options for college access. This allowed our students to work with THTI students who are Student Government leaders on building capacity and activities to better serve and engage THTI students in student activities. We ended the day by flying back to the island of Trinidad to prepare our work over the coming days with University of the West Indies and the University of Trinidad and Tobago.
